How to Log In to cPanel and Find Your Way Around

Your cPanel login is in the welcome email you received when your account was set up. Sign in either from the link in that email or by adding /cpanel to your domain once it's pointing at the server. cPanel is the control panel for your hosting — it's where you manage files, email, databases, domains and SSL, all from one dashboard.
How to sign in
- 1Open the control-panel link from your welcome email (or visit yourdomain.com/cpanel once your domain points to us).
- 2Enter the username and password from that same email.
- 3You'll land on the cPanel home screen — a grid of tools grouped into sections.
- 4Tip: you can also reach cPanel from inside your client area, so you never have to hunt for the link.
The tools you'll actually use
- Files → File Manager: upload, edit and organise your website files. Everything public lives in the public_html folder.
- Email → Email Accounts: create mailboxes on your domain and set up forwarders.
- Databases → MySQL Databases and phpMyAdmin: create databases and edit their contents (WordPress, Joomla and most apps need one).
- Domains → Zone Editor / Subdomains: manage DNS records and add subdomains like blog.yourdomain.com.
- Security → SSL/TLS Status: check and turn on the free HTTPS padlock.
- Software → the one-click app installer for WordPress and other apps.
You don't need to understand every icon. Most people use five or six tools regularly and ignore the rest. If you can find File Manager, Email Accounts and the app installer, you can run a website.
