Accessibility Statement
Last updated: August 19, 2026
What this covers
Only hosting-cheap.com itself. Billing, the client area and the hosting control panel all run on bought-in software whose interface we do not author, so they fall outside what this statement can promise.
1. The standard
WCAG 2.2, level AA. Our honest read is largely conformant — met across the pages we have tested, with the exceptions listed in section 3.
We have not written "fully accessible", because it would not be true and an overstated statement is worse than none: it tells a disabled visitor to expect something that may not be there.
2. What is in place
- Text and interface colours are checked against the 4.5:1 and 3:1 contrast thresholds.
- Keyboard focus stays visible everywhere, including over coloured bands.
- Primary controls are 44px on their shorter edge. Dense link rows such as the footer policy index are 32px, which clears the 24px floor WCAG 2.2 sets in 2.5.8 without claiming the bigger number for them.
- Motion is decorative and stops completely under
prefers-reduced-motion. - Pages are built from real headings, lists and landmarks rather than styled boxes, and form fields carry labels rather than leaning on placeholder text.
- Nothing spills off the side of the screen at any width down to 320px, meeting WCAG 1.4.10. Checked width by width on 19 August 2026 rather than assumed — two sites built from this same codebase turned out to be failing it.
3. What is not right yet
- No automated checks in the build. Contrast and structure are checked by hand at review time, so a regression can survive until somebody looks.
- Translated pages have not been tested individually. The site ships in 42 languages. Right-to-left layouts in Arabic, Hebrew, Farsi and Urdu have had far less testing than the English ones, and that is where problems are most likely to be.
- Decorative photography carries empty alt text. Correct for decoration, though a few images are arguably informative and ought to describe themselves.
- Bought-in interfaces. Anything from checkout onwards belongs to a vendor. Defects get raised with them; the code is not ours to change.
4. Telling us
Email info@hosting-cheap.com or use the contact page. Say which page, what you were trying to do and what got in the way. Your browser and assistive technology help if you know them, but the report is useful without.
You get a reply within five working days. If something is stopping you buying or reaching support, say so — we will get it done with you another way while the underlying fault is fixed.
Unhappy with the answer? The complaints procedure puts it in front of somebody who was not involved.
5. How this was checked
We assessed it ourselves: tabbing through every interactive element, putting a contrast meter on the colour tokens, and stepping the viewport down in stages to 320px. Nobody independent has audited it, and this paragraph stays until somebody has.
Written 19 August 2026; revisited whenever the site changes materially.
