Modern Slavery Statement

Why it is here at all

This covers the financial year ending 2026 and sets out what is done to keep forced labour and human trafficking out of the business and everything supplying it.

Nobody obliged us to publish it. Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 starts at £36 million of turnover, and Bohzo Ltd is a long way under that. Saying so outright beats letting a reader assume a legal duty that is not there. Being small is a reason for a short statement, not for no statement.

1. The company

Bohzo Ltd, registered in England and Wales under Company No. 15031604, registered office The Workspace Basildon, 7 High Pavement, Basildon, England, SS14 1EA, trading as Hosting-Cheap.

The trade is web hosting, servers and domain registration, sold online and run from Britain. Everyone is directly employed or directly contracted; there are no premises beyond an office, and no seasonal or agency staffing at any point in the year.

2. What sits behind a hosting account

Not a great deal, which is the point:

• a UK hosting platform provider running the physical machines;
• the registries and registrars behind the domain extensions we sell;
• the companies licensing us the panel, the billing system and the malware scanning;
• whoever takes the card payments, and whoever carries our outbound email;
• accountants and solicitors.

All established technology or professional firms in the UK, the EEA or the United States, with compliance obligations of their own.

3. Being straight about the risk

Close to home the exposure is low, and we would say so even if it were not fashionable to publish it: this is qualified people on UK contracts doing office work for a salary.

The part worth being straight about: further down the chain, visibility drops away. Building data centres, manufacturing servers and mining the minerals inside them all carry documented exploitation risk somewhere in the world, and they sit several relationships beyond anybody we have ever spoken to. We have not audited them and are not going to pretend we have. What we can do is prefer suppliers who publish a credible position of their own and weigh that when choosing — which is what happens.

4. What we actually do

• everyone working here is on written terms, paid at or above the legal minimum, with right to work checked;
• nobody hands over identity documents to be held, and nobody pays a fee to get work or keep it;
• new suppliers are checked for a modern slavery position where the Act applies to them, and against anything on the public record that contradicts it;
• evidence of forced labour ends the relationship and goes to the appropriate authority.

5. Training

At this size it is a conversation, not a course: anybody involved in hiring or choosing suppliers knows the signs of forced labour and knows how to escalate. Calling that a training programme would be inventing one.

6. Raising something

Anyone — staff, contractor, supplier or customer — can raise a concern in confidence at info@hosting-cheap.com or through the complaints procedure. Raise it in good faith and nothing happens to you for raising it, whether or not it turns out to be founded.

7. Review

Looked at every year and republished with the date changed whether or not anything else did. A statement quietly left to go stale tells a reader nothing at all.
