Two different agreements

The terms of service cover the hosting you buy. What this page deals with is the website in front of you, and it binds you regardless of whether you ever open an account. Should both documents reach the same purchase, the terms of service take precedence.

1. Using the site

Read the thing, link to it, quote it with attribution, and run as many domain searches as you care to. Off the menu:

• hammering it with a scraper until everyone else sees it slow down, or dodging the rate limits on search and pricing;
• copying chunks of the wording onto pages of your own, whether done by hand or first run through a model;
• framing the pages, or dressing them up so they suggest a partnership that nobody has agreed;
• poking at it for weaknesses beyond the terms laid down in the data security statement.

2. Who owns what

Wording, layout, artwork and every mark here belong to Bohzo Ltd. Photography comes to us under licence, and permission to quote the text carries no permission to help yourself to the pictures. Names such as cPanel, WordPress and WHMCS belong to their owners, and they appear on these pages to describe what we run, not to imply any connection.

3. Prices, currencies and specifications

Quoting and charging both happen in US dollars. When a page shows some other currency, you are looking at a live conversion meant for orientation, nothing more: checkout takes the dollar figure, and the rate that really applies is the one your bank picks. That point lands harder here than on most sites, since this one gets read in a great many countries.

Registries set domain prices, and those prices shift. A figure printed on a page counts as an invitation to treat, not a binding offer; what binds is the number sitting in your basket at the moment you pay. Where a price appears with an obvious mistake in it, no obligation exists on us to honour that, and you will be told before any money moves rather than afterwards.

Upgrades to the platform bring changes to specifications. Should one of those changes cut what an existing service delivers, the customers it hits get told about it.

4. Guidance here is general

Guides and knowledge base articles get checked before publication, though they address a general reader rather than your particular situation. None of that material amounts to legal, tax or financial advice. Where a page strays into company structure, or into how customer records should be handled, read it as background and get proper advice before you act on any of it.

Any comparison against another provider reflects whatever was publicly published on the day of writing. Competitors adjust their pricing without notifying us, so verify the position before relying on one.

5. Translated pages

Publication of most of this site runs to 42 languages. The translations exist to be useful and do not constitute a promise of their own, so where a translated page contradicts the English version, the English wording is what governs the position.

It is also the reason those policy pages themselves stay English-only instead of being translated, as explained over on the legal index.

6. Links to other sites

If a registry, a vendor manual or some outside tool answers a question better than we manage, a link goes out to it. What sits at the far end is beyond our control: the content there belongs to them, as does whatever they do with your data once you land.

7. Availability of this site

Given to you as it is. Nothing here falls under the service level agreement, which covers hosting you have paid for and not this brochure of ours, and any page can be altered, shifted or pulled down without notice.

8. Liability

As far as the law permits, no liability falls on us for loss that arises out of reliance on general information published here, out of a third-party site reached by following a link, or out of this website being unavailable.

Liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence is excluded by nothing here, nor is liability for fraud, nor for anything else the law will not allow to be excluded. Consumers keep their statutory rights intact.

9. Cookies and personal data

Anything stored inside your browser is covered by the cookie policy. The fate of personal data is set out in the privacy policy, while using a right over that data is covered in GDPR and your data rights.

10. Governing law

Governed by the law of England and Wales, and jurisdiction belongs to its courts. Consumers resident somewhere else within the UK may alternatively bring proceedings where they live.
